NHL 09: I’m not sure why, but two out of every three goals my team gives up in NHL 09 online (EASHL), is scored by a guy who looks like Wesley Snipes channeling Vanilla Ice. I know it isn’t my imagination because GodhartsYankees can testify to the problem (as I’m sure countless NHL 09′ers can).  All these Bleach blonde Blade clones all seem  to be the same person because they all do the exact same shot (the curving wrist shot), so it must be Simon Phoenix himself monopolizing the EASHL. In reality, I think people just like the fact that they can see the facial hair (Gold though it may be) on these character models unlike the fairer skinned generic models. I know personally I can’t stand how crap the facial hair is on my EASHL character (hope he’s not reading this).

Call of Duty: World at War: Been playing a bit of War mode all day, and it’s been as fun as any other game type. I earned the round clip for my Thompson, which rules, and I’ve just been pretending I’m one of the toll booth assassins from the Godfather. I’d rank the gametypes like this so far…

1. War

2. Capture the Flag

3. Everything else

The objective types in this game just feel right, while deathmatches just seem like camp fests (go figure). I always figured deathmatches were meant for running and gunning, but the more online multiplayer deathmatches I play the more I see people just posting up trying to fix their K/D ratio. Perhaps it’s the amount of games with leaderboards because games like Shadowrun (leaderboard-less) had practically 0 campers. Anyway I’m not through with this beta yet.
